GSP was selected in 2011 and 2010 by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City as one of the 100 fastest-growing inner city firms in the U.S. GSP was also named by the Pittsburgh Technology Council as Service Provider of the Year in 2006 and was a runner-up in 2005, 2004 and 2003 for its work with many of the region's technology companies. In 2010 and 2007, Joe was named a finalist in the Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. In 2001, shortly after starting GSP, Joe was honored by Pittsburgh Magazine as one of Pittsburgh's 40 Under 40 award recipients.
